Exercises To Lose Belly Fat
There are various exercises one could do to lose belly fat instead of sit-ups. Although it’s the most used method, it’s not necessarily the most effective. You see exercises not only work because of the repetition, it also burns fat as a result of muscle contraction which can be achieved through proper form.
That being said, these are some of the best exercises to lose belly fat.
Using an exercise ball, put your knees on the equipment and lie down with your back flat on the ground. Take a deep breath and then slowly lift your upper body, bringing your chin forward to the knees. It’s pretty much like a variation of the classic sit-ups so your hands should be on your chest, crossed.
Another variation that uses the exercise ball involving placing the object between your ankles. Flat on your back, slowly but deliberately lift the ball up and down in a repetitive pattern. Keep in mind that this should be done slowly to allow the muscles to burn.
If you don’t feel like lying back much, try sitting on the exercise ball. Plant your feet wide apart, hands on chest and squeeze. Like the others, give the muscles time to feel the contraction.
What you should be looking for in each exercise is that small contraction you get in the stomach muscles. The abs should tighten for each repetition to make the actually exercises work. This is what I mean by using the right form in the exercise. Ideally, one should do three sets of the exercise, preferably with more than 20 repetitions each. This would allow you to feel the burn more thoroughly. However, don’t start practicing large reps so soon. You might want to start low and work your way up once you develop the stamina. Don’t forget the healthy eating habits and you should be well on your way to losing belly fat.
